of staff felt clinical supervision benefited them personally and professionally

The Innovation

Jodie wanted to introduce Clinical Supervision at her practice to provide her colleagues with structured guidance and support.

She started by raising the idea at a practice meeting. Her practice manager agreed and together, they set up an initial session.

Jodie created a PowerPoint presentation for the session and a feedback questionnaire to assess staff’s understanding and session effectiveness.

Encouraged by positive feedback, she established regular Clinical Supervision meetings every 8-10 weeks for all nurses and HCAs.

The Impact

  • Jodie has signed up for Clinical Supervision training to become an effective supervisor.
  • All staff saw benefits to their wellbeing and to their clinical practice.
  • Clinical Supervision is also known to improve collaboration and reduce staff burnout and turnover.
