This is a one-year diploma to develop the skills and competencies for managing primary care at scale within the NHS. Develop the expertise to lead the transformation of primary care for primary care networks as set out in the NHS Long Term Plan and new GP contract.
A comprehensive diploma for people who are managing primary care and are becoming responsible for creating and running primary care provision at scale including – NAPC’s primary care home and other primary care networks. The curriculum will incorporate the learning and experience of the primary care home and new care models programmes.

- Qualifications – equivalent to 60 credits (20 per module) at postgraduate level 7. On completion of the diploma, students may apply to study for HFMA’s Higher Diploma which provides a pathway to a full MBA awarded by BPP University. A postgraduate certificate providing 60 credits in the Credit Accumulation Transfer Scheme (CATs) is planned

The course has been developed with funding from the GPFV and fees are subsidised.
The course costs £2,800 + VAT. Registration fee: £280 + VAT (payable as a deposit on notification of candidate acceptance, non-refundable).

The AMSPAR / City & Guilds Certificate or Diploma in Primary Care and Health Management have been designed specifically for managers in healthcare and general practice settings to help individuals meet the increasing demands of the sector. This is a Level 5 qualification and therefore of a similar level to a degree.
The programme is open to team leaders, potential managers and existing managers in a healthcare setting. Learners should ideally be educated to Level 3 standard and have a background that will enable them to benefit from the programme.
Candidates who are unable to fulfill the entry requirements, but who have suitable management experience in any field, may be accepted onto the course this can be discussed with a member of the Admissions Team when making an application. Click here for more information.
