Local leaders and teams have told us they need support to lead and deliver with clarity, courage, and collaboration in complex, evolving systems. NAPC’s Leadership Development Programmes are designed to equip senior system and organisational leaders with the insight, confidence, and tools to lead this transformation—sustainably and successfully. As Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) become the cornerstone of modern, community-centred healthcare, the need for visionary, adaptive leadership has never been greater.

Our programme, based on an adaptable blueprint, is designed to meet local requirements, leveraging our experience and networks alongside those within systems. Our interventions bridge the gap between data-led targeting and high-impact neighbourhood team delivery, aligned to national guidance.

Who Is It For?

Whether you’re leading at system level or preparing your organisation and teams to operate as flourishing neighbourhoods, our programme support will be right for you.

Designed for senior leaders shaping the future of integrated neighbourhood care, including those who are:

  • Supporting the implementation of Neighbourhood Health Teams at a regional, system, or place level
  • Operating within an emerging Single Neighbourhood Provider (SNP), Multi‑Neighbourhood Provider (MNPs) or Integrated Health Organisations (IHO) capacity
  • Overseeing the deployment of teams into new neighbourhood-based models of care
  • Leading organisational change to align with integrated, community-based working
  • Clinical leaders preparing to engage colleagues and lead in this new landscape
  • Working across health, local government, or voluntary, faith and community sector partnerships

You may be navigating a shift towards even closer partnership working that calls for a new set of leadership skills. The move from traditional hierarchical structures to autonomous, accountable neighbourhood teams requires a different leadership approach—one that focuses on coaching, facilitation, and adaptability. At the same time, you may be grappling with how to define and demonstrate success within new, population-focused models of care. With increasing pressures on the system, finding the headspace to lead effectively is more important than ever. And as care continues to shift from hospitals to communities, and from treatment to prevention, you may be seeking ways to ensure that Neighbourhood Health Teams are not only effective, but sustainable for the long term.

If you’re in the midst of this transition and want to lead with clarity and confidence, our programmes are designed to support you.

Why This Programme; Why Now?

Integrated Neighbourhood Teams represent a bold shift in how care is delivered—bringing together health, social care, and community partners to meet local needs holistically. But this shift requires more than structural change; it demands a new kind of leadership.

Our programmes are built on NAPC’s proven track record of delivering impactful change through working with multiple innovative areas in the last 2 years on large scale Integrated Neighbourhood Team developments, and as national coaches on the National Neighbourhood Health Implementation Programme. Building on initiatives we have led including Primary Care Home (PCH) and The CARE Programme.
