Health organisations come together to demand a future for social care

The NAPC is supporting Health for Care, a campaign calling for action to secure a sustainable future for social care.

Finding a long-term, sustainable solution to how we pay for and provide care and support to people in England is among the greatest challenges our country faces. The impact on the public has been profound, with record numbers of people now left to struggle each day without the care and support they need. We believe it is the time to put this right.

The Health for Care coalition, which is made up of 15 organisations across the health sector including the NAPC, is calling for a funding settlement that puts social care on a sustainable path for the longer term, as well as addressing immediate needs. The coalition has developed a set of principles and recommendations to help make this happen.
